On October 4, an exhibition titled “The Right to Dream,” dedicated to Sergey Parajanov, opened at the Södertälje Art Gallery in Sweden. The opening was attended by Anna Aghajanyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Sweden. Ms. Aghajanyan noted that this is the first exhibition dedicated to the great filmmaker and artist Sergey Parajanov to be organized in the Scandinavian countries. She emphasized that the local public shows great interest in Parajanov’s art and expressed confidence that the exhibition will be highly successful and warmly received by visitors. Opening remarks were also delivered by Maja-Lena Molin, Director of the Södertälje Art Gallery, and Anahit Mikaelyan, Director of the Sergey Parajanov Museum. Both expressed hope that this collaboration will continue and that Parajanov’s art will become more accessible and comprehensible to Swedish audiences.
